Eimatai Advisors

2008-2009

The Eimatai Leadership Development Project is the foremeost provider of programming motivating Jewish high school students to confront community challenges, empowering students to act, and supporting students to succeed in making positive contributions to their schools and communities.

At Eimatai conferences, North American student leaders consider issues, refine talents, gain hands-on experience in programming, and discuss practical plans for implementing new projects to better their schools and the greater Jewish community. Eimatai strives to cultivate a community of student leaders who will grow together through critical analysis, leadership skills development, and hands-on involvement in projects of their own design.

At the weekly Advisor meetings, Advisors are trained in program facilitation, how to create informal programs, and ways to interact with high school students. Eimatai Advisors prepare for each of the conferences through training sessions in which advisors create much of the conference programming and hear from speakers related to the conference theme.

Expectations:
* Full attendance of 2-hour weekly, Tuesday night meetings.
* Group work to create Eimatai conference programming.
* Two Eimatai conferences Sunday-Tuesday during school days.
* 2-3 follow-up visits in schools throughout the year.
* Regular phone calls and emails with high school students.
* One Leadership Day during the year.
